Asap.quiche:Home-made French Quiche
Prepare:
4 dessert spoons flour
1 teaspoon yeast
3 eggs
2 cups milk
2 dessert spoons fresh cream (or one of oil)
2 slices ham (or a tin of prawns)
1 cup grated cheese
- Pour the flour, yeast, eggs, milk and cream into a bowl.
- Mix them into a smooth paste, then add the cheese and the “flavour” (ham or prawns) plus a pinch of pepper and salt.
- Pour the mixture into a greased cake tin and cook for 35-40 minutes in a medium oven.

At Candlemas, on February 2nd, French people light candles and eat pancakes. Legend has it that, to become rich, you must toss a pancake holding the frying pan in one hand and a coin in the other!
They also eat pancakes on Shrove Tuesday.
Recipe for 20 pancakes[Help: infoplus ]
- Place the flour in a bowl and make a well in the centre.
- Break the eggs into the flour, then add the oil and salt.
- Stir the mixture until it begins to thicken.
- Keep stirring while slowly adding the milk and orange zest.
- Allow the mixture to stand for an hour.
- When ready to make the pancakes, heat a drop of oil in a frying pan.
- Add a ladleful of batter.
- Heat until the pancake turns a golden yellow, then turn it over or toss it.
- Sprinkle with sugar or spread with jam. Enjoy!
